since you have a comment from ubique that is far more observant than anything I can offer I will leave my note as "well done", just to let you know that this is certainly a shot that stands out, allowing me to stop for a moment and take it in.... |

There are many very good images in this challenge. This one is a triumph of composition (simplicity in shapes and tones) and a story that's timeless. |

How VERY cool! What a fascinating shot! And Paul's suggested edit works quite well, too - try it!

I hope to get a telegram from an agent in Hollywood someday too ;) I'm not sure of your intent, which i suppose is intriguing in and of itself as i like to try to understand what people are thinking. So I'll pretend I'm the innocent bystander watching you drive your hyundai into a pack of unexpectant DPC GTG'ers - 9 |

This was so nearly brilliant – I so rarely do this because I think it's insufferably presumptuous, but alas I'm going to do it anyway. The bottom 25% diminishes the photograph. It begged, pleaded, howled, wheedled and entreated for a squarish crop from the top, ending just at the guy's right knee (his actual knee not his shadow knee). I never saw a picture that could not be improved by the addition of a little implication and ambiguity. Well, hardly ever.
Having blurted all that probably unwelcome bile upon you, let me say I still make it my pick as clear best of the challenge, although I'm still rolling the bottom bit off my screen as I savour it. |

I LOVE this perspective. We're always told to explore a scene from a different perspective...that normally yields the best shots and you've really done a great job here. I don't know if it was intentional but having the script in an "upright" perspective and the person not in an upright perspective really adds interest to this shot. |

I like the different geometrical patterns, the overhead perspective, the hard shadow and the B&W processing. I just like this image, if I were to suggest anything different it would be to straighten the stones on the left side of the photo so it makes a nice clear line to the subject. |
