KNew this had to be you. Just looking at your settings, 1/2500! at 3200! the reason for this? I can only imagine you wanted some grain but by this small example it doesn't look that grainy to me. Just curious. BTW what's the man like?

Magazine-worthy celebrity portrait. I like how casual and intimate it feels.

Nice ;) little closeup would be better i think. However, I kind of like the lamp there. 8

How lucky are YOU to do his portrait!!! Love the colors, the casual pose, the lighting. But that curtain placement is distracting, and the overhead lamp is superfluous. I have it scrolled down to just below the edge of the lamp, and to my eye it improves the image.

Kudos and congrats on your subject!

Not the best pose of this dynamic man.. but I'll give you an extra point because it IS this dynamic man.

How fortunate you are to photograph this fantastic and accomplished singer. I like the single light above his head and the ambient lighting from his right gives form and depth. I might have moved the chair to be 100% under the overhead light. You have captured an intrepid expectational look on his face, with a touch of humour. The shadows being cast also break up the plain carpet. The curtain just seems to me to be out of place, but the curved wall adds a less harsh dimension than a traditional 90 degree corner.

Whoa, nice! Not only a great portrait, but someone famous to boot. You should be proud of this one. Next challenge you have to get one of his wife, Heidi Klum!
