Love the eye contact and expression. Beautiful bird; I'd be over the moon if I had a wild bird this gorgeous come visit me! |

What a beautiful bright red bird! He is almost giving you a nod of understanding. Let us know when he starts to talk... |

Fine picture of a flaming red bird. Wow, you do have some flamboyant wildlife in your back yard. I remember being astounded when I visited your wonderful country at the flocks of bright birds yelling away in the trees in Cairns.
Down at Kangaroo Island I saw the brightest blue little guy just enjoying his day. Your red fellow rivals that one for bright beauty.
okay, enough reminiscing for now...you do indeed live in The Land of OZ.

This is wonderful Roz! This is a very pretty bird. I thought that it was a senegal at first until I saw the wing colors. You are so lucky to be where there are so many wild parrots. I hope that you can get friendly with a few of them that you like. If you call, whistle, or ring a bell when you put feed out, they will quickly learn that there's food when they hear the sound. It will make it easier for you to bring them close for photos. Keeping a regular schedule for when you feed them helps too. They just know what time of day it is, esp lunch time. |

what fantastic color and shallow dof. I especially like the little seeds lying below him. It gives a little insight into his current objective. |

And I thought I was jealous about those cangaroos :). You have wild parrots in your back yard. On top of that, you have summer around the corner. I'm so jealous :).
It's a beautiful photo, the way he's looking at you... thank you for sharing this! (and as I'm writing this on my terrace, a huge black crow just appeared on a branch near me - and my camera is too far away :) |

What a darling little guy. Where my sister lives in South Pasadena, California, there are wild parrots. It's so cool. You look up through the skylight and you see them perched up in the tree. They are that vivid lime green. I don't think I've ever seen a red guy such as this. |
