Best I could do, especially with an unwilling model.
I walked through the garden, looking for inspiration. When I saw the pods. I knew what I should try. The most difficult part was to get my daughter away from the TV to be the model. I wanted to ask her to go put on her ballet outfit, but decided that I'll first take some shots and see if it worked. Had to put the camera on timer, ask model to please take on some sort of pose other than her current slouch, run round to pull down the branches in the general vicinity to be in front of my model, change DOF, repeat. Got told that modelling sucks, and no way was she going to chage clothes for this.
Very glad this did well but much more pleased with the comments. Thanks everyone.

Well.... We live and learn. The learn part a bit slowly, it seems. I want to re-iterate what I said, that the comments are much more appreciated than any score, so.... I'll follow the rules better, and enjoy your comments, and the learning experience. |

Arg. This DQ stinks. I'm sorry. |

Oh what a shame - but the DQ doesn't take away from the fact that you have taken a photo that nailed the challenge, that was subtle, quietly clever, and aesthetically pleasing in its own right.
Edit - and I'm sure you get to keep th posthumous Red, which is far more sought after than an HM!

I'm fascinated by the mirroring here. Probably the most interesting fulfillment of the challenge. Posthumous Red Ribbon from me.

The light on those pods is just wonderful. And the image has some sort of weird harmony about it. |

So artistic and probably will be unappreciated by the DPC crowd. |
