Total experiment. Wanted to see if I could create a good image out of diverse elements, background, and layers, with no actual subject. 10 layers!!!

Photos of drapes, pier, Disney Hall, chandelier, and architectural detail
two overlays

What I truly appreciate here Johanna is the fact that you did not stray from photography to digital art or illustration. It's a true picture, a palimpsest. Let's say, your memories of an unwritten opera. Excellent!

Way to go. Great shot of the hallway in the Hotel Califoria...

That chandelier is outta sight.

Oh, how fun! For me the result of having so many disparate items in the image makes it possible to create that many more stories for the image...pretty cool!

This is brilliant! Very Dali, makes me travel from an interior to exterior dimension, subtle grunge edges. Well done.

I love how well all the layers have been blended together to make such an intriguing image. I feel like I am walking into your dream.

I really like this. Love how all the different elements that don't go together work so well in this image. Very cool.

I don't care for the chandelier- I love the rest...the dock is a replica of the image I stared at on a funeral program this afternoon -eerie

Oh so gothic!! I can hear a heavy pipe organ playing something in the background. What a terrific mood!!! This is excellent.
