INITIAL RESPONSE: Very nice fireworks shot .. nice colors, fit the challenge.
COMPOSITION-CONTENT - The composition is 'nice' but could be better .. I feel lilke missing something in the bottom because this is where the fireworks come from. Some marks in the upper right corner .. a little distracting but not too much. I like the whoe firewrks with it's different area I like the 'blue/purple' 'things' in the middle upper part.
BACKGROUND : nothing special except those marks .. maybe by adjusting the contrast or curves you could have get rifd of them .. but they do not bother me that much.
CAMERA WORK-TECHNICAL- Missed shot, shaky shot.
DIGITAL PROCESSING - TECHNICAL - GOod .. no specific comments. No visible jpeg artefact or noise.
MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO - I like the shot a lot... Think would have prefered it 'portrait' but maybe you original shot was like this. in tha case .. not that many thing you could have done at post processing/printing.Congratulations!

composition hurts this picture. when you have something so sparse that the central focus is blatantly obvious (such as with this picture) you have to pay very close attention to how the shot was setup. now, that might be a little hard while trying to catch a firework on film, but still. a different crop would be helpful, say placing the explosion of to the left or the right. other than that it's a fantastic (and probably pretty lucky) shot. the colors are really beautiful. 7 |

Great capture!
I think I'd prefer this in portrait orientation with the two black side areas cropped right out. The two white flares from the bottom would also look better in a portrait image I think. |

a very nice shot of fireworks. Kind of hard to get to look good. I like the blues, and the angle and framing/cropping you have are nice as well. There are a couple smudgy marks to the upper right that I'm not sure what they are, but they are kind of distracting. otherwise a great 'blue' shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

Beautiful shot! My only concern is the marks in the upper right corner. I don't know what they are, but it takes a bit away from the shot. I now see other spots where this is occuring, sorry, don't know what to suggest. Still, it's a great shot, so I'm going for a 9 anyway. Swash |

My first impression is that this should not have been cropped so tightly. Other than that, exemplary fireworks shot, the kind I'd love to take - Inspzil |

Do you do fireworks for thanksgiving!? Overall a fairly nice fireworks picture... good stopping of action... and I like the blue. I would have tried to not have it quite so centered when I cropped, and due to the name, I would have liked to have seen part of the river or something. Good luck! |
