Shot from a car ? Certainly gives the effect of 'motion' and you have a short enough shutter speed that I can still see the skyline.

Overall though it doesn't really say much to me. I'm not really clear what you are trying to communicate with this, other than the car vibrates a lot.

Compositionally the lower half of the shot seems like 'dead' space, and you've lost the top of the building in the upper right.

Maybe a longer exposure could have made a more abstract image with longer trails ?

There appears to be some stuff wrong with this photo. Yes it depicts "Motion", but my oppinion is in a good Motion picture you have something that is still. That helps the viewer take note that there is motion in the Photo. That also helps to add an element of 3D to a 2 dimensional image. This should be the main goal of a photographer. Espeecially Landscapes.

Maybe you didnt use a tripod for this shot.... I think that it would have been more effective to have had the buidlings in the background in focus and then concentrated on the lights from the car in the front

Did you try and take this photo handheld? It is just I would of liked to have seen the buildings sharp in the background. jgillard5
