 A warm up shot for the 2011 FS marathon I signed up for.

I know its suppossed to be a white flag, but it would've got lost in the snow.
Taken at midday.I didnt have my cybersyncs with me, I was hoping for more dramatic lighting but the positioning of the speedlites were limiting because of the sightlines issue.

One flash to light the bow of the boat and one to light the engulfed motor in the back. If you look closely you can see my flash for the back. It is positioned on the boat about half way down the boat. If you look just below the rectangular box on the white motor you will see the little black speedlite.

Not impressed with the 24-105 lens. It has yet to provide some stellar results. Maybe I am being too critical.

I actually like that the flag came out yellow(ed). It gives it a bit of a historic feel as if it's been sitting there for a while. Great shot, when I turned to it I actually said out loud, wow, I love this picture. Great job!

This will definitely end up on the front page. I could be mistaken, but the horizon seems tilted ever so slightly. I really do like the feel of this image, it reminds me of days many years ago when I travelled the north shores of the St.Lawrence.

Ancestors of Grog travel to this land many sun cycles ago in boats like this. Journey was hard. Cold was wind, hard were seats, and youngling in second row play Hannah-Montana songs for whole journey.

the desaturated look + snow = very cold and lonely. Or maybe just forgotten. Either way well framed, nice use of the colors and detail to capture a possible of several stories depending on what one might be looking for.
