| One wonders what to make of the umbrella. Then one figures it's not snow, it's sand. Even so, the umbrella just planted there is intriguing. Interesting shot! |

| Similar location and tone to mine :-) This is truly wonderful. I LOVE the sky reflected on the damp sand, and the incongruity of a folded umbrella staking its claim on the deserted beach. The man ignoring it is just perfect. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I really like this, it jumped right out at me - the coloration, the smoothness of the sand, the dark blacks, the coloration. All of the above pushes my buttons.
Critical stuff: Nothing really.
Overall: Right up my street - great image. |
