 Reflection flipped so it's right way up. Also cropped as I haven't worked on the sky of this image yet.

Corel Painter 11 - auto paint function used several times with varying settings. Artists impressionist brush used. Original image used as the source for the colours.

The reflection is actually above the gradation line and I'm currently working on two approaches.

1) work it flipped and convert what really isn't a reflection into looking like a reflection and work the rest as if it were the real part of the image

2) work it the proper way around

I agree with you, I think the sky needs some work to soften, but this looks really great. Beautiful scene with a wonderfully painted feel.

This is great! I would love to see the original and compare which is better. Great job on keeping the detail but adding a sense of surrealism.
