 I was up late on New Year’s eve, but, thanks to insomnia, I still woke well before sunrise on New Year’s day. So, I headed to the lake shore with my camera. I pointed the camera across a portion of Lake Michigan at the Chicago skyline. The camera was on a tripod and the magnifying glass was taped to a music stand. I flipped the image 180 degrees, cropped, adjusted levels, saturation and sharpness.

Post challenge
I cracked the top 20 (albeit on a challenge with few entries). I am very excited. Not bad given my inexperience and it is only my second challenge entry.

Excellent concept.
For me the frame is too wide, and the picture a little noisy and if I voted I might have dropped it from a 6 or 7 down to a 5 or 6 as a result.
Really good concept though. I might have to borrow it for some shots of my own sometime :)
