"There is a curious paradox that no one can explain, for who understands the secret of the reaping of the grain, who understands why spring is born out of winter's laboring pain, or why we must all die a bit before we grow again?"

The Fantasticks, Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt

Played with some Color Efex Pro layers, that created the blurry sense of nostalgia. I then did a slightly scratched layer. It's not the typical macro. I like it.

I really like this and can't for the life of me put the why into words.

The softness has great contrast with the scratchy overlay. Brilliant.

Beautiful, exploring, surprising - love the quote to go with it.

Flower macros usually seem to stand or fall by the size or position of their sharp area - this one seems to just ignore that rule - the position of the white area helps as does the curious uneven balance of the petals - very nice indeed

I quite like it too. I especially like the structure of it. How the stem of the flower is relatively straight gives it a bit of a strict contemporary feel.
