If these are anything like as shy as the great bitterns we get in the UK then many congrats on the shot - there are only about 75 pairs over here - I have seen one once - heard them a lot though |

It is a good dof, almost looks as it has fur rather than fluff. |

i think photographing birds might be harder than insects .. most birds dont let you near them at all .. its a great shot sandy .. i really like the background and the lighting .. as well as the bird of course .. :) |

Not the easiest bird to photograph. I was lucky enough to get a couple of bittern shots a while back and boasted and boasted! (And won a competition with one of them) |
