just learned something new. yeah i'm slow. when adding a layer to an image you can change the layer's properties after you've added it by using the PS drop-down menu at the top. just make sure it is the layer selected first.

interesting story behind this photo I posted to a local forum

Textures are handled beautifully here, and this would have served you well in the Sentinel challenge. Evocative, lovely photograph.

This is really cool. Reminds me of the Dr. Seuss Grinch movie.

Wow, that is an interesting story. Maybe she passed the torch to you. May you live that long. BTW, excellent photo, with the little clouds floating around and the nice dark areas in the foreground corners.

The low pov and the vignette make this a really good shot - but I would prefer it if you cropped it just above the big tree.

Lovely story. Thanks for the link.

This tree almost looks as if it could 'talk and walk.' Perhaps it is looking over its domain, planning for the future.

I love the title!!

Layering is a magical thing. You can change the opacity and the various modes, all with that drop down menu. I think a new world has just been opened up for you. :)

WOW .. what an amazing image .. it goes so well with the title .. the smokey/clouds remind me of ghosts .. the trees bowed under the snow seem to have taken on human characteristics .. like an alien land where ppl fade away .. their strength gone forever .. nearly a memory ..
