Ok my justification for this is that if you are a musician this is an everyday object.
And since boxers shadowbox to get to the top of their profession, I thought a little shadowplay wouldn't go amiss.

its ok if people penalise this if its not too everyday enough. I understand. No, really.

Levels, contrast, slight colour adjustment + noise removal.

Nice idea with the shadow. There isn't a focus point as the instrument is blurry. The vignetting at the top just seems out of place and same with the shadows in the lower right.

I like what you are trying to do here. The concept is a great. I know this would be a hard photo to take. Such bright light really making overexposure a nightmare to deal withâ€Â¦. The cello is exposed properly but it is blurry. I would also loose the shadow on the right hand side and clean up the vignetting on the top. I might have taken it against a flat background rather than a corner so that if the entire background was overexposed it would just appear white. In this case the molding is exposed correctly and thus makes it distracting. Hope this helps.

I like your idea here. I think this should have been in focus more and the light glare off the cello is too bad (perhaps you could have bounced it off the lower tuning pegs?)

oh and I don't think you'd find a cellist that would draw their bow across the finger board...should have aimed for the bridge ;-)

A white sheet or posterboard on the floor would have really enhanced this illusion. Nice idea, just wish it was a bit more in focus.

Nice idea but the soft focus doesn't work for me.
