Looking across the sand to the entrance to the harbor. The huge piece of equipment is The Dredge which has to operate about eleven months out of the year to keep the channel from silting in. So much for Man vs. Nature.

Don't forget to visit my photoblog. I love the company.

Beautiful, Germaine. I really like the panoramic crop.

What pretty light! It looks so peaceful. Dredging in the Delaware river (NJ/Philadlephia area) always poses a problem. They have to keep the shipping channels open, but where to put what they dredge is a hot button issue because the river is polluted. Somehow it always seems to end up doing some damage.

I like all of the masts poking up, as opposed to the straight horizontal of the water line.
