Fun with light painting! I thoght of using the Xrays of the guy with the framing nail head peircings for this challenge as it is gross enough to be arresting. I collect images and stories of construction accidents and share them with new hires to put the fear of God and gravity in them.

Add in the most depressing poetry and book titles in the house and the old typewriter from the garage and a hammer and nails, enough already . But my daughter who helped me with this shot added the poem in the typewriter.

Longish (15 -25 seconds )exposure while I played with the mini mag light and took the best on review.

Added in the title and blurred the layer under it to get a ghostly effect, flattened layer, save to web, and for the first time ever, no USM since it was supposed to be sort of ghostly anyway.

Very "albumy" looking indeed. Nice lighting and processing - the nail "ghosts" are very effective.

Good composition. Thought provoking
The soft focus effect is nice. Lighting is very appealing to the image.

The "painting" you did with the light here is very effective, it makes the photo have a moody feel which goes along with the band's name. The composition is just great. (9)

Interesting title and very interesting shot. I like the shot, I really do but the lettering on the title really pulls me away. The way it's smeared or smudged in all directions is really distracting to me. I used to make signs that had the swept or smudged look and one thing I found that really works for me is to keep it all going in the same direction, making it look more wind swept than smudged.

The lighting is a bit harsh in just a couple of spots but otherwise a nice shot. As is an 8

really nice lighting. handwritten paper comming out of a typewritter seems strange. it's not something i would knock points off for or anything, but just something i noticed. the x-rays are a nice touch too.

I love the symbolisms your elements portray ... lighting is great, sepia-ish color suggests mystery ... the title is not that original though :-(.

This is a very interesting image. I can't tell if this was done in photoshop, or if it was painted with light. It looks a tad unnatural.. but impressive nonetheless. I just hope it's painted with light, and not dodged and burned. 8
