| Very cute kitten with wonderful big eyes just staring at us. Focus is great on the triangular face area (eyes, nose, mouth), but gets soft and blurred the further out. Love the detail I can see on the fur in the frontal portion of the face. I think the composition would be stronger if the rest of the head and body had the same great level of detail seen in the front portion of the face. A faster ISO and a high aperture (8 or above) would get that greater DOF. |

| The selective desat works really well, and I think this is a really strong cat portrait. He/she really seems to be staring into my soul. The only shame is that the focus is clearly on the forehead more so than the eyes. |
