I'm so excited about this shot. I had tried taking some extreme closeups of squirrels the day before, and I loved what the 100-400 lens up close did to the DOF. It just seemed to fade away. Which is good, because I wouldn't be able to do that effectively in photoshop (yet).

Unfortunately, I just didn't get the sun that I had the day before, so he was in pretty deep shade.

I really lucked out in getting this shot. The squirrel was eating a peanut that I had put out, and had just finished. But his paws were still in the position from holding the peanut. Here's the shot without the heart:

You had a great base shot and just popped that "I (Heart) you" right in those paws perfectfly, Wendy! Big congrats on your ribbon!

I wondered how the heck you got him to a) hold that without eating it, and b) hold it correctly so the words showed up! Then I noticed it was advanced editing. Adorable! This would sell - you should market it!
