 These are tiny super-absorbent polymer balls (already hydrated). They are used to water flowers in a vase.

They come in a tiny package and swell to many times their size when water is added.

Pretty, huh?

colored glass marbles/babbles (I use mine on the bottom of my fish tank) they have flat bottoms...really nice color combination

Do you remember those sticky gum stuff that one blew up to be colored bubbles? You know, you squeeze it out of a tube. Then you plastered it round the end of a short hard straw. Blowing through the straw produced these nice bubbles, and you had to roll the bubble off the straw and close the hole by pinching it close. Remember? Well this isn't it.
