Since you seem to be curious as to what this is useful for, four things immediately come to mind:
1. It's pretty, display it as art.
2. An example of hopper faced crystal growth, which is actually very rare.
3. Melt it into a large thin plate, then do diamagnetic levitation.
4. Demonstrations of expansion upon cooling, another rare property, shared with water, antimony and a few other things. |

I love the purple and blue colors you picked up in the reflections. I have no idea what this is, but it's neat. The only thing I can think of is that they are some kind of molds or something. |

whew boy this jumped out at me after seeing 2-3 blurry abstracts before it. i love the textures and colors but for the life of me i can't even make a guess. hope i can come back and look for another 5 minutes after i finish voting. 7 |
