I don't particularly believe the title, but I thought it was a fun idea. Yes, I used chocolate sauce, as real blood did not seem worth the time or effort (and i didn't have any readily available).
Levels, crop, brightness/contrast.

I count 8 "too dark" and 1 nearly "too dark". :) Nice job and keep it up!

And all this time I thought meat was food. My bad. 7

Althought there is nothing like a big 16oz Surloin steak. Your picture is attractive and puts a twist to a most common chanllenge subject. Good job.

Wow, cool, love the drop of blood that really makes it a killer shot as compared to a totally mundane one. Makes up for the kinda dull lighting too.

how many "too dark"s did you get? :) I love the mood of this image and the cropping and balance. I would have liked to have seen a little more specularity in the blades, tho. [7]

Cool. I like the ordinary look of the pic (using the natural light).

I think this is an absolutely brilliant idea. But I think the image lacks detail. Too much of the image looks burnt out. I feel that the top part of the image is a too dark. 7

Good idea and composition, just needs a little more punch on the lighting .What this lacks is some light on the edges of the knives, to give them a glint of sharpness. As it is, they could almost be paper cutouts. Really stark lighting would accent your idea.

The title does not leave a very good taste in my mouth like a good chunk of steak does....maybe some tofu taste. If God did not want us to eat animals, he would not have made them of meat.

Just my 2 cents...I do not want to get political or anything...at least, not much.

and delicious when bloody! ;-)
Interesting pic. a bit underexposed so you lose all the texture in the blades. I like the composition and balance.

just because you can't hear them doesn't mean that vegetables don't scream, either...

I wish the blades were brighter - I realize that you could very well have them dark intentionally, but I find a bright polished steel blade more sinister. Better light might also put more attention on the blood.

Interesting idea and execution (pardon the pun). I like the soft shadows but I think the composition would have benefitted if the light had been more iintense and the shadows "sharper."

The photo will be better when you use more light for the knife with blood.
