 Shot during the Superhero shoot in Houston that JaimeVinas was kind enough to invite us to. Lindsey was supposed to be dressed as an evil clown, but I think she came off as more of a cute & sexy clown or magician (depending on the hat). Regardless, she was a great model, extremely expressive. Model shoots are something out of the ordinary for me, but I can see doing more of it for results like this.

I brought the jesters hat down to Houston, hoping one of the models woudl have a costume like this. I gave the hat to her and asked her to make goofy faces for me. She made some awesome goofy faces. I really lucked out with a wonderful model and an awesomely goofy expression.

I'm really pleased with this, but I also think the DPC masses are tiring of studio shots of pretty models. Hoping the goofy face makes this different enough to stand out.

Anticipated critiques:
-I expect to get dinged by some people on her hands being clipped. Her left hand was clipped at the edge of the frame (curse me for not paying attention!), and leaving in the full right hand just drew more attention to it, so I cropped both hands for a more natural appearance. Hoping the rest of the image is strong enough to overcome that flaw.

No matter what, I"m happy with it.

Post-challenge notes:
Just under a 6 and 13 out of 52 is pretty good. I'm rather surprised, however, at the large number of lowball votes this attracted. I don't think cleavage can account for that. Maybe the goofy face put some people off? Not expecting to really find out. Makes for a very interesting voting distribution. It did appeal to plenty of people enough to offset the low votes and encouraged a lot of people to comment. I'm really pleased with the comments it pulled in. Thanks!

Howdy folks, this is the model speaking,

This was a great shoot, and Steve was very fun to work with! I love making funny faces, and so I was doubly-excited that Steve could find some way to work this unusual talent of mine into a relevant photo. Sorry about the cleavage, though, next time I'll put on a burka ;)

Way to go Steve for pulling an awesome shot completely out of thin air!

First of all, the cleavage issue. The female fool is not a dignified woman; do your research!
Second, a fool would NEVER wear purple.
Third, the lack of even lighting makes her look like a man.

Back to the cleavage issue, she's not 19. If you're 25 or older, it's not called cleavage; it's just a low-cut shirt.

Oh and fourth, I can't think of a way to possibly improve this image. It's amazing and it captures the essence that it was meant to capture as well as it could be captured. Beautiful image and the photographer in me wants to meet the model because we all could use a model that's not only beautiful, but has the guts to pose in any pose we ask for any shoot we ask. Could anyone else have executed this particular shoot this well? Doubtful. Aside from photographic and historical accuracy, this model is obviously quite an amazing person as well. I'm glad to have the opportunity to observe her at work; it's changed my perception of the concept of a model completely. Excellent work, yo_spiff and my hat is off to the model.

Should ribbon, slightly odd crop losing the fingers both sides but certainly feels like a tarot card. Hope you score well
