 I always feel privileged to get a recognizable shot of a Bald Eagle in the wild; getting one this close was exhilirating. Had to zoom out to make sure I got that entire wingspan in the shot ... those are BIG birds. Nice light (late afternoon) and that eyeball is piercing! Would have liked some pretty clouds in the sky or something more original about the shot, but I took what was offered.

PP - cropped, white balance, levels (master and red channels), increased saturation, decreased saturation on dark blue-purple to get rid of fringing, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, added border.

Is it just me or are the head and tail perfectly in focus but not the wings? Anyhow, great shot, it just doesn't pop for some reason.
