A mallard drake coming in to land on a quiet patch of water near a dock that was a nice, well worn-in yellow. So hope it helps to offset the drake and not overwhelm him!

Presque'Ile, just south of Trenton Ontario, is a major migratory route for all kinds of waterfowl. Ryan and I saw and shot Buffleheads, Goldeneyes, Trumpeter and Mute swans, common species of duck like the Mallard, and a few other waterbirds a little trickier to identify. We also saw many seagulls, but they came in handy...we used them as flying white cards! :-)

Love the reflection on this. I would have liked the top 1/4 cropped off. It's interesting as far as a setting goes, but I'm not sure it really adds that much. the duck and the reflection are so much more interesting. (just looking, not voting)

Pretty cool, in my opinion it would be even better if it is cropped without the steel barrier.

This is a very good photograph, LOVE your reflection almost as sharp as the bird. My only suggestion is to have cropped the yellow dock or pier out of the picture. It stands on it's own very well with out the background.

The stuff at the top of the image is distracting and I think really sabotages this awesome image. I love the pose and the reflection!

The reflection appears so crisp and crystal clear! The tones in the water provide a serene backdrop to an otherwise active image! 7
