 I was inspired by this awesome photograph by a wonderful photographer who happens to be a friend of mine. Thank you for the inspiration, Kelly!

Slices of Light

I lit it with a softbox from the right side. I had to lower the softbox to the tabletop level so that the light would hit the bread from the side and create longer shadows. I held a white cardboard on the left side to fill in some of the strong shadows. Did some dodge/burn in Photoshop to enhance the shadows cast by the slices of bread.

Wonderful, I would move the bread to the right a bet and stress more on the shadow, thats said, 8

This is a simple yet pleasing shot. I like the bit of shading you've left, keeping this as a duotone instead of a bw. One of my top pics.
