you know Robert, i passed over this far too quickly during my voting. Gave it a 6 but coming back to it now i see i should have spent more time on it. really like it far more. Should have bumped it. Lovely image. |

Thought so. I couldn't help thinking of Wallace Stegner. (Hey, that posthumous).
Oops, forgot to say I loved the composition and light.

Like bicycle racks for boats! Love this image. Not voting 'cause I know whose it is. |

Based on the proficient use of SEP2 and the heavy grain, I'm guessing this is a Bear_Music image?
Love the moody contrast and heavy clouds! Not quite sold on the grain though. |

This looks familiar to me, maybe not. Nice work. |

I'd brighten things up a little and pull back on the grain. |

Seriously, like a vintage shot. I like the deep tones and the clouds. The grain isn't overpowering and really works. |

lovely image, very atmospheric. great contrast between heavy horizontal skies and precariously thin but defiantly upright boat masts. Maybe I would go a little easier on the grain in the sky, or maybe not, hard to say without comparing. And I like your signature toning :).
I find it very amusing that you used this term for the title. I used it a lot in my studies in granular physics :) |

What I find most endearing are the repetition of lines in of all angles. Reflections, rails, masts, rain, and clouds. All emphasized by your tonal rendition. Baghead Ben |
