Me... Shot right before going to paris..
Unfortunately, i could not move this pool table into the basement, so I had to wait until the clouds covered the sun and there was no window of light on the pool table...

Greetings from the Critique Club. You requested an in-depth critique on your image, and here it is:

The photo itself is fun - you managed to capture excellent motion blur. The perspective is great, as well. Room for improvement: A little action with levels might make this pop more. The colors are flat and the lighting is dull. I'd rework it a bit to make this an outstanding image.

Why did it not score well? It doesn't meet the challenge topic. I think you scored over a 5 because of the interest of the photo itself.

In a different challenge, this might have scored really well.

Cheers,

Alicia

A nice surprise when it came on the screen. I didn't see it in thumbnail mode. Implied action in this is nice. I wish you could have gotten the pool cue sharp in there somehow. Composition is mostl nice. To make the shot perfect (compositionally) the middle white diamond, the orange 3 ball, and the male would have ideally lined up. Lighting in the bottom of the image is nice, the wall and the male seem to be a little bit dark. I would have liked to see the dark object in the left corner to be gone, and maybe some way to frame this, a vignette possibly?

Wonderful sense of action. Struggling to find how this meets the challenge.

I love the movement of the balls. It sounded so gay, I know jejejeje. Good picture man.
