This is my Great-Grandmother's ring that was left to me. Two carat mine-cut diamond, set in Platinum. The ring was made in 1901.
I plan on giving it to my girl-friend in about two weeks.

Editing:
Cropping
USM
Added blueish lighting to bring out stone.
That's about it.

I'm really not that pleased with the photo... but here goes!

With a nice ring like that, she might. Maybe a little cropping on the right would help.(the rule of 3rds) Nice pic.

i'm not very fond of the lighting or composition of this one. it fits the challenge, though!

Very tough subject to photograph. Focus is incredibly difficult. I don't get a sense of depth here, which would have improved this.

I assume it is a ring, but it is hard to see. The diamond reflections are a bit extreme and the ring is too close to the edge for me.

Simple, effectiive. Black background is perfect for this.
