Not sure if this will fly for sadness. This was my very poor attempt at creating something that was along the lines of pointandshoot. I love his images as seen through textures - both physical and through double exposures. I have always found them pleasing (as can be seen in my fave folder). The title is a haiku that I threw together. I like haikus every so often as a title. They can be interesting. This one probably isn't really interesting but I thought it may be a good match for the image and the challenge. But odds are the title and the image both suck and will get me another low 5 score. Oh well. I am enjoying them both.

And to be clear - my little girl is so far from despondence. ;)

For some odd reason I get the sense this is timfythetoo's.

Hmmm, very interesting - the sadness is not one that is in your face but more of a having to study the image to appreciate it. I hope the voters are taking the time to look and appreciate. I like the glass wall and the hand that has made the attempt to break through. The image is primarily cast in a dark light - ala the darkness of the mind/mood. The way I see it is that the person trapped behind the glass wall is a person trapped by their own depression. Attempts are made and there are cracks but the wall has yet to shatter. An attempt to punch through results in a minimal success (the hand) but at the risk of getting cut. I read desperation and depression in this image. My only critique is that I wish more of the facial expression was visible so that the emotions could be more strongly portrayed. (not voting)

Fabulous image. Probably too dark and symbolic for most, but very powerful and superbly done. Also, that novel-for-a-title doesn't help...

Interesting and unusual approach here. Well executed and post processed.
