This is a shot of a lonely park bench that is far from the main area of the park. It is shaded by a tree for the most part and is also carved into heavily by all sorts of lovebirds. (Which just means I have reason to go back and shoot it again.)

The fungal growth is really quite interesting up close. I figured that it is something different then a bug or a flower. Especially with the rusted bolt.

The only editing peformed was a slight brightness (-15) and a slight contrast (+25) adjustment then a crop and save for web.

This is interesting...but the focus is off on the left hand side. Would like to see a little deeper color.

If you go back to reshoot this, I would like to see the results. Maybe you post them in the forum.

A very interesting subject, but the rusty bolt seems to me to be the main subject and thus should be sharp. Also, perhaps a little more breathing room (less crop) on the left near the nail/bolt would have balanced this better.

Very good composition, but the shallow DOF doesn't really do anything for the image

Love it, the lichen makes a great contrast with the bolt

you've got some nice texture, but the whole shot seems on the soft side.

nice target, unfortunately, a bit out of focus. there is potential here, but you'd need to work on the lighting hitting the nail.

Great image. Nice balance. Focus and colors are spot on. Nicely done without bugs or flowers.

Good potential. Great colors. Needs more dof or, imo, the focus should be on the rusted bolt. If you shoot parallel to the object you will get more perceived dof because everything will be on the same focal plane.

I like the color and texture of the lichens on the wood
