I love this idea. A solid background or a shallower DOF would have worked better for me.

The leaf and the veins in it are totally superb. Take the same shot with the area in the background totally black and you have a real wow winner. (Or use post shoot processing to do it later.) Great focus on the leaf - great exposure on the lesf.

Great photo. It may be natural but it looks like there is some haloing around the leaf borders. If you did some selective blurring, you'll need to watch for that.

Nice detail and colors, I like the diagonal composition. I would have experimented with a different background.

I really like this one...the red along the edge of the leaf, the 'veins'. Great macro shot!

It's too bad that there's no hint as to what we're looking at behind the 'curtain'. With the proper OOF background (blurred tree or something like that), I would have given this a strong 9. Very nice, though.
