Yes, I knew it would do terribly - and I did defy my own quality control - and I didn't spend much time on it - and it was really late when I submitted... but I did think that this kind of thing happened once in a blue moon when you have your camera handy!

Greetings from the Critique Club...

This is a great action capture but I think it simply didn't scream BLUE to anyone. I can't really imagine any way to improve this photo without actually setting it up. There are lots of different compositional options for something like this, but once again, that would require setting it up :) Because of that, there is not really a lot of room for 'critique' outside the context of the challenge, which has already been covered.

Keep up the good work :)

I wasnt going to do any voting in this particular challenge because I didn't put in an entry myself untill I saw this photograph. It has it all: DOF,sharpness, contrast, and you even got the horizon right but the thing that drew me to the image was the sheer drama depected in this shot combined with your title. Good luck.
Now I have to vote on at least 20% more photos to make this count.....lol

Looks maybe a tad over-sharpened, but this is a fantastic action photo! Lots of blue to be seen. Great capture!

Great picture, funny caption. This image was captured at exactly the right moment, nice work. The water is a bit green, for the blue challenge it would be nice if it were bluer, and the sky's a little dull, but the kids' wetsuits have some nice deep blue...

Title would have even more effective as, "Safety Zone?"
Remarkable capture, has too much sharpening, or USM.

Yikes.. that guy needs a HUGE fine. Did you get his license plate number?Interesting shot. Its a little dark and I would like to see more detail in the childrens faces. But then its not like you had time to set up the shot :)
