Hi, your camera is a FZ100, didn't know that. That was one of many cameras I checked out in December when I was deciding what to buy. I finally got a DMC-G1. The resolution and sharpness of your picture is amazing. Congrats on your winning. |

Congrats on a well photographed technical image, and with a bridge camera to boot. Sometimes I wonder why we bother with all those DSLR bodies and lenses! |

Lovely shot. Great use of the sun's position. I like the way this conveys the mood and feeling of the warm sunny field in which it is shot. |

Great shot! The sun shining through the petals is nice, but even better is the sun shining through the leaves all over the place. Just wish the dark leaf angling up to the right at the top right of center wasn't there. |

Excellent perspective. Great use of dramatic backlighting without blowing the details in the flower! |

for me the angle of this (into the sun) is very harsh.... |

Great sense of place (and time of year!) I'm finding the composition a bit too centered for my taste, but I love the back lighting of the grass seeds and most of the poppies. |

Like the low perspective and the backlighting is really nice to see. The grass stem next to the main flower is distracting but this is clearly natural and very good! |

Simply love the backlit flower. Wish you could close the aperture a little to bring a starburst. |

When I first opened the page to start voting on this challenge, this thumbnail stood out like crazy to me! I just had to click on it and look at it before starting my voting! I LOVE IT@ The background plants add SO MUCH to a picture that would otherwise be very conventional.
The main flower has such beautiful shadows/silhouettes and such impressive colors.
The image reminds me of one of the default desktop backgrounds for, I think, Windows 98, but it's so much better!
My only critique is the empty stem to the right of the main flower.. |
