 Thanks to my 'humble assistant' (you know who you are) for holding my umbrella, drying my lens... I read in a forum that some consider shooting in the rain "hardcore". What about shooting in the rain with the flu? Well, that's just stupid & in my world, "stupid is as stupid does." LOL. It was worth it, I'm happy with quite a few photos-rain & flowers, The Experimental Farm and The Tulip Fest, what more could I ask for!

Nice subject, good contrast, good DOF, a little bit too sharpen on the leaf. The composition is unusual, you "read" this picture from right to left (the reverse of the natural way).

This is similar to the Southern Magnolia...but it appears to be very different...BG is a little noisy

The petal that's "standing up", I find it ever so slightly distracting. The focus is very crisp and I think the composition works well.
