Maybe not my best picture of the month, but it is my first attempt at Street Portraiture, where I walked up to people and asked to take their picture, so I really wanted to enter it to get some feedback.

This was a street performer who was in the process of blowing up and twisting balloons into shapes. I asked him for a quick picture and he drew this very serious face, and then pulled a silly one right after.
So really, he isn't that serious, but I liked the contrast between his expression and the clown costume.
I know usually these pictures are in black and white or sepia, but I like the repeated purple them on hat, glasses and nose.

Hopefully I will get some constructive criticism and comments, since this is my first try in this form of photography.

I think maybe because its such a static pose perhaps? I can't quite put my finger on it, perhaps not filling the frame with his face might have been more effective. I do like the color but b&w may have been more effective in conveying your title.
