First, thanks for the feedback. Second, I was suprised by it too! I was even using a telephoto lens! Digital zoom was switched on, and normally I try to avoid that feature, btu I just couldn't get the kind of magnification I needed. |

My Opinion
This does not work for me it is to centered with too much darkness around it The concept is interesting and the green is very vivid but I think you have a lot of noise in the background. I am surprised by this as your camera is a 4mp with 4x optical zoom! Did you have the digital zoom switched on as well? It would have been better to have rather taken the image at top resolution and cropped to what you wanted.

I like that color. The focus on the image is very soft, so it seems very abstract to me. Did you take it free hand? |

Sorry, but not a lot going on here in my opinion. I would have given a higher score if you had placed the object off center. I am assuming this is the moon, but there isn't enough detail to confirm that. If it is the moon, that's a whole lot of green cheese! |

Cool idea, but extremely grainy. Sorry, but I just can't think of anything else to add. 5 Swash |

the negative space works well here as it does focus the eyes on the subject. However, I think if the green slice were in the lower right it would feel more balanced. Being in the center like that makes it feel static to me. |

This is a great example of using the limits of your camera to artistic advantage. |

I'm sorry, but this photo doesn't envoke any emotion from me. All I see as a fuzzy crecent on a black background. I have sat here looking at it from an artistic eye, and although I can grasp the concept in relation to the title, I think a full green moon would have made a stronger impact. Unfortunately, we didn't have a full moon last week. |

Wow, this really grabs me! The amount of empty space here puts me in a contemplative mood, and that shimmering green crescent pulls my attention in, creating a surreal feeling. The colour is vivid. The more I look at it, the more I can just pick out the rest of the moon in its shadow. Very nice work :). |

A green moon. Looks a little fuzzy. Nice work in changing this around. |

I think having a different position of the moon within your photo would have helped here. Perhaps changing to a vertical shot with the moon high in the frame? = 5 |

I can only assume that this was taken with a very low MPixel camera, as it is incredibly grainy, to the point where there are absolutely no details. Perhaps using one lens of a pair of binoculars would have helped zoom in and get more details.
Oh, if you used digital zoom to get this, I recommend against using that feature, as you get lower quality and less control compared to cropping a shot yourself afterwards. |

interesting shot, but I think it would be much more appealing with a different crop or possibly placed off center some... - setzler |

Personally to me this is just not an interesting image, it lacks anything that would draw me in as a view; just an opinion. To judge it technically, there is not enough substance, again just an opinion. |

looks like it may have been difficult to zoom in on the subject. nice try if it's the moon. i would like to see something else in the picture since the subject is small and it's the only thing in the picture. |

way better than I could ever do, but it just doesn't look right some how. kind of speckled. maybe it was the post processing? Not really sure about the greenness either. I supose its ok, cause it's different. Not what one would expect. Being in the center is ok, I wonder how it would look in the bottom right corner though. something to try at least, to see how it affects the shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

Blury, and grainy. If it was in clear focus and not grainy I think I would have liked the picture. Probably limitation of the camera, but the shot just isn't clear. |
