 Using the 5D for this was a treat! I went out to try my hand at shooting star trails for the first time but at this location this was a far more interesting shot, partly because the amount of moonlight precluded a really long exposure shooting in any direction with an interesting foreground. The road to the place I initially planned to go to was closed because of nesting piping plovers!

Lovely scene with a nice feature to lead us into the water. I somewhat wish there were more stars visible in the sky.

Obvious use of a tripod, or any other long-term stabilization tool (1-10 *is not the score of the shot though*): 10
