 This shot was going to be my sepia entry but whilst taking shots for my Low key entry i edited an alternative and this was confined to my portfolio.

I spotted this fisherman in the process of packing up, as i walked closer he started to ring home i presume, as the title was what he said. I didn't want to draw attention to the fact i was taking his picture so i literally shot from the hip. Im definately in the covert as opposed to candid camp.

When i got home and loaded the pictures i was drawn to this shot more than the other partly because the subject is dressed as if he working in an office instead of fishing.

Lightroom 3 adjustments.

PSE8 Burn midtones in the canal and the gents specks, USM and SFW.

Topaz - Creative detail and denoise.

Wonderful shot and absolutely my favorite type of photo, a great aim you have from the hip.

Great job John. Perhaps the reason I seem to be leaning more towards the 'candid' camp is just because I'm not good enough to compose shots so well when shooting from the hip. I'd have missed focus or chopped his head off for sure. You on the other hand did very well.
