Some many things to like about this...city in the distance, the cyclone fence with Christmas lights and a hoodied mystery person...very cool.

I agree with all the comments made (love jutilda's) You have created a perfect photo to make up a story about .. the lighting, textures and colors are all wonderfully done. That one light on the fence adds such a layer of mystery to this shot - great composition.

cloaked in red
the boy stood at the fence
looking beyond
what anyone else could see

the skyline of the city
was just a series of lines
like a print out
of an electrocardiogram

perhaps it really was
all about his heart
his love for the place
he could no longer
call home

YAY - I love it when an image inspires me to launch some quick thoughts. Beautifully done. It has a painterly feel.
