Regardless of whether the orientation is traditional or unconventional, I feel the choice should add something to the composition. I do not feel like your choice has added to things, mostly because the shot feels very unbalanced and incomplete. One last thing- since this is advanced editing, I personally would have eliminated the little bit of silk/hair below the dragonfly's leg.
