 800 horsepower trucks on a 1 mile closed course off road track, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series raced under the lights this weekend.

Led by Rodrigo Ampudia's Papa's n Beer Ford, 7 pro racers in the air over 3 tabletop jumps on the front straightaway. It looked like a ballet of trucks jumping at the same time off different jumps.

Hehe, hover cars. =P And one of them is on fire...lol.

I like this. Perhaps with a little more contrast, this could be a really killer image? If you darkened the black in the background (even just by burning it), and intensified the cars, it would help "pop" the subjects forward.

*6* for great composition, eye, and subject, but needs more depth of field. =)

Almost looks like a hoover craft race they way that nearly all of them are level in the air. Great capture.

They're all airborne at the same time and at roughly the same height :) Very good action shot! Very hard lighting conditions, and you did a very good job capturing the stopped motion. The noise in the dark sky is the only clue of a high ISO (as is some tiny loss of detail due to noise reduction).
