| Great timing to get the beak open. Photographing birds is one of the most rewarding types of photography, and equally frustrating as you no doubt know. (I looked at your portfolio.) A few compositional errors and the bird's face is too dark or overall U/E. You have a fabulous 500mm f/4 prime and I'm guessing you had very little time to shoot before it was gone? |

| What an unfortunate placement of the pine needles behind his head. That kind of hair on a bird is only for cartoons : ) Too bad this guy had his back to the sun, forcing you to blow out the background. |
