 Well I was spoilt for choice for inspiration in Sherpet's portfolio. After one failed idea I decided to have a play with something I haven't used before, negative inverts, not something I usually like but I did like the way it enhanced the outlines in some of sherpet's flower shots so I guess it's all about the way it's done. I took a photo of a delicate poppy, inverted it and then to put my own twist on it and make the colour combination a little more coherent I tweaked the original hue and saturation.

It was taken on an Ixus compact because my slr took a dunking :-((

h2 - I don't think the processing reduced image quality, it was taken with a 7MP compact on the macro setting as my SLR is sadly out of action. The original image looks a bit like this (slightly different crop) //www.flickr.com/photos/17563528@N00/6078603717/
Crazy Diamond - It's a field of flowers. Just a beautiful clump of right flowers right by a traffic light junction on my way to work. It's almost like some member of the public just went and scattered a load of seeds as they only appeared this year.

After voting on the other photos I wish I'd added a border now, didn't think of that!

Startng with the first entry I looked at in this Sherpet Style challenge, I am amazed at the depth and detail of this rich Poppy Flower......
The COLOR and clarity is awesome. THE DOF background is so soft almost like SILK

Fun background and cheerful colors. The noise is a bit too noticeable and detail in the poppy is a bit lacking.
