Hannah, thank you for being the best model! You did everything I asked, and you are fabulous! ...and I can't wait to work with you again...
Sometimes when you crash in this sort of competition, you do it in spectacular style...and this was such an occasion. :)
The bottom line is, I had all the elements, and couldn't string them together.....
I spent approximately 7 hours editing the individual elements... and the triptych twice!
I had a vision when I shot the elements of the image, and couldn't let go of that, and got distracted, by what else came in..... and the final image is a very badly edited juvenile montage... but it did score better than my worst image, so far.... :))
Of all the images that I've submitted to DPC, this is right up there with the worst....ie. because I couldn't take that step back and evaluate... but it is also the very best learning image that I've ever submitted....
..and Simms summarized it perfectly. Everyone else said it nicer, but nobody can ever accuse Simms of not saying what he thinks, and he was spot on.....LOL!
Thank you to all those that left comments..... I really appreciate it!
Not the best start back after so long away.... but at least there is room for improvement... :)
...and the bonus is a 'Red' for the opportunistic shot on the same shoot.... that was totally unplanned! :))
Now if I could just crack the magical 7.0 before the end of the year, I'll be really, really happy.
Thank you again, to those that left comments!

I'd love to see the triptych in the middle a bit bigger. My personal preference would probably have been to go for just those three. |

I think there's almost too much here. I might rather just see the three in the black inset. Still a 7 |

Too much for one image, the small shots being totally lost. Shame as you went to a lot of bother. |

Lovely picture the one at the left, and like how the petal on the center, looks like if its over the photo (but I see this white around, that shouldnt be white.
Then the 3 pictures on black bacground, are cool!, Love those monkeys! ;)
And there is this pic at the right.. kind of unfocused, but amazing smile!
The model gets a 11 out of 10! Gorgeous! ;) but the composition isnt that much of my taste. And the "Expert Editing" isnt there either. (again, the model, just astonishing beautiful!) |

Just too much for me. Had you used the center panel as a tryptic it would have been great, but the additions on the over soft B&Ws and the rosepetals... It just overwhelms the 800 pixel space. It is like one of those row boat crossing the river puzzles, one B&W and the roses, or the tryptic, or the two B&Ws all get across the river. All in one trip swamps the little boat. |

Love photo with the petals. Great emotions. The collage effect diminishes impact for me. |
