Ok so I added the blur in photoshop and yes everyone that thinks their is too much feathering - your right, there is way too much around the bud of the flower, hmm, funny I didn't notice until it was pointed out, probably didn't have my glasses on.

A nice shot, although there's a lot of evidence that the DOF was added after the fact.

Vrey pretty. I like the DOF (out of the camera? or blurred?). Colors and focus on the flower is very good. Composition is very good. Among my top flower pics.

Love your choice of depth of field here. Love the colors in the bloom and the detail throughout the plant!

there seems to be a haze around the flower.

I like this picture a lot. I like the way the flower rises out of the "blur" to a sharp bright focus.

a little to much feathering along the edges, they are really bluring into the background blur
