 This old gnarled Mangrove continues to through new shoots even though it has to deal with the extremes of the natural elements.

Levels, contrast, dodge and burn of the overexposed sand area. Crop and Neat image before saving for web.

Great capture of the texture of the bark and a nice contrast between the textures of the smooth leaves and the rough bark. Upper left hand corner is way too hot. I would have recommended either a tighter crop - or framing the photo to avoid that brightly lit area.

This is a very busy image. Lots of colors and textures that compete for your eyes attention. Your title points to the twisting bark - perhaps a composition without the new growth would be better? Or if you wish us to look at the green of the new leaves, perhaps burning in the bark behind them or blurring the background a bit?
