 Another extension-tube kit-lens combo shot.

I wanted to enter this image in Wendy's 'when life is ripped apart' thread. I found this fly dead as is on my cactus. He was a very willing subject :-) But all he had was the two legs you can see there. Lots of processing was required for this image. Even though he was entirely still I didn't get the lighting right. So had to do a lot of PP to bring out details on the fly.
I need a better macro lens system. It's fine for stationary images, like this, but it's a pain outside.

Wow! Finding the fly in the chaos it seems to be in, and capturing it so sharply in such shallow DOF - must've been super hard. I would've tweaked the colors a little to make the fly's eyes standout more vibrantly, but it's a fantastic capture nonetheless.
