 Taken in Albuquerque at the 40th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, this is inside the belly of a 200,000+ cubic sf hot air balloon, as it is being filled. It is the balloon we rode, and the man is the pilot.

Glad you liked the title! Was feeling pretty smug about it myself :-)

Thank you for the wonderful votes and comments. As you can imagine, the lighting conditions at dawn, inside this baby, was challenging to say the least. I tried editing this 10 different ways and somehow couldn't get the color AND the sharpness to work at the same time. Only after rollover did I learn a technique that would have worked better. That's why I love DPC - always something to learn.

Clever title and really nice picture. I find it very interesting. The person obviously makes the picture, but the texture differences between the blown up and flattened parts of the hot air balloon are really interesting too. 8

Now that's a cool photo. Only problem is that it's too sharp/too contrasty. But I love the perspective.
