For all the people who asked about why this picture.... I work in a place where we do alot of walking....earning our living.. servicing the slot machines in a busy Casino... some people need HIP replacements..... I have a problem I have to deal with in the next month.. I will be off work 6 weeks... it is NOT a Knee Replacement...I lift heavy bags of coin and rush around the Casino with a bright and happy face...dealing with angry losers and impatient winners...lol..so when I saw the Botany Challenge I was trying to be funny as always and sarcastic...tried to take the best picture possible.. an come across with an thought provoking image...displaying a Casino Employee's plight with their lousy...insurance...and the fact that we all break down... if we work beyond what our bodies allow us... Pretty sticky situation... hence the Cactus plant... double edge sword...you know.. "Bought a Knee"....BOTANY... Thanx |

Thanks for the little chuckle, I needed it. I swear, if I look at another stamen anytime soon, I'll hurl. |

This is technically really great, focus couldnt be better, composition gives me the impression that the cash is the main subject but there is a plant there. I'm cool with it, anything going for "Knee On"? |

I have no idea what's going on here. I see concrete, money, a knee, shorts, and a cactus. What are you trying to tell me? The photo was captured with good technical/mechanical skills. Its the subject and composition that leaves me cold. |

i don't get your title, and therefore not the money and the knee, but that's probably because i'm not a native english speaker. The colors of the cactus are beautiful. |

what works in your somewhat quirky shot is the composition -- leading lines from knee to the botony pay-off and the interesing blend of colors. bol. |

Time to get shorts that weren't bought in the late 80's, early 90's. Don't understand your title. All I know is that it relates to some sort of injury caused by that cactus, I guess. |

Nice picture, but I tried and I tried, but I still don't understand the title/picture combination. |

I don't see what the focus of this image is. You have three things to focus on that really detract from one another.
Other then that the shot is nicely lit and captured well. |
